Earmarks Revealed
Our Congresspersons are now required to show earmarks on their websites. But, try to find them! As reported by Jared Allen, thehill.com , in many cases, you have to know where to look. It seems as tho’ the “goodwill gesture” which the Pakistani government made to the Taliban, giving them authority over the Swat valley, is back-firing. Recent news film of a teenaged girl being given 40 lashes in public reflects their mentality toward women; also, women in their jusisdition are being denied education and are relegated to the burnoose again. Harry Knox was recently appointed to Prez O’s Advisory Council on Faith Based and Neighborhood Partnerships. Mr. Knox, a professed gay Christian, excoriated Prez O for having the Rev. Rick Warren perform the invocation at the inaugural, citing Warren as a divisive choice who snubs gays. Mr. Knox also claims that the Apostle Paul was not telling the truth about homosexuality being a perversion, as cited in the Bible book of Romans. Oh boy! With other members of the Council such as Dr. Frank Page, President Emeritus of the Southern Baptist Convention, there should be plenty of press-worthy fireworks from their meetings.

On a positive note: Remember the bank president in Florida who gave all his employees a huge bonus? Another benevolent leader is now in the spotlight: Jack Windolf, CEO of Bollinger Insurance Solutions, gave each of his 434 employees a check for $1000, derived from a long-delayed commission of his. This is a great example of a DIY economic stimulus package. Good on you, Jack! Oh, and you don’t know Jack, so you didn’t get to play.
Blessings.
