Health Bill Healthy for USofA?

Tomorrow is “Health Summit” day in Washington. The Summit will be conducted by Prez O and will be “invitation only”, including C-SPAN, which means that you and I can opt to be present via our TVs. What a sham! Just 4 days in advance of the Summit, Prez O released his latest version of the Health Care Bill. He expects this to be a starting point for discussion. The Reps are holding out for a fresh start on the Bill. Think that’ll happen?

Yesterday, Robert Gibbs, White House Press Secretary said, “The president expects and believes the American people deserve an up or down vote on health reform, and our proposal is designed to give ourselves maximum flexibility to ensure that we can get an up or down vote if the opposition decides to take the extraordinary step of filibustering health reform.” That not only smells like “reconciliation”, but Dems are outright saying that they will try for it. Pray that the sane Dems will not vote for it.

If the reconciliation process is used for the Health Care Bill, all of We the People, regardless of our political affiliation or leanings, will be up in arms (maybe even physically for some) over the supreme arrogance of Prez O and the Dems over this issue. We the People want health care reform, but we want a less radical approach which will not pass exorbitant expense to our future generations. And, which will not harm our financial standing among the world’s powers. The current Bill just isn’t the right vehicle for the reforms necessary.

One of my acquaintances suggested that I shouldn’t watch FoxNews because they unfairly and maliciously poison my mind against Prez O and his Administration and against the sitting Congress majority and the “good things” which they are trying to accomplish in spite of the “Party of No”. Don’t have to watch Fox … can separately and in parallel come up with my own same conclusions.

Far Leftism is not good for our country. Or, for me. I’m woefully tired of the two opposing parties opposing. I’m way ready for the Centrists to take over and truly use the word “compromise” and wring the most out of “bi-partisanship” for the good of our beloved Nation. Why? We need both the progressiveness of the D’s and the groundedness of the R’s to maintain our country’s strength, stablity and quest for the best. We need to boldly adhere to the founding father’s principles when they created our “more perfect Union”. We need national government to protect us from encroaching harm and relinquish the true We the People governing to the regionals (states) and locals and the citizens who can have input for the area in which they live. We need to take the country away from the politicians and give it back to We the People. No delays!

On this day in history: 1640 - Harvard University founded; 1903 - Guantanamo Bay facility acquired; 1993 - World Trade Center bombed;

On a positive note: Some marriages get off to a better start than others. Matthew and Jessica McCullough got married Sunday at the White Castle restaurant in Murfreesboro where she works. Now, I looove White Castles! But, would I want the fragrance (I’m being kind here) of the White Castle burger be the one I remembered forever? A fairy tale … or a night mare? They decide, not you.
