The King Of Everything

Prez O apparently thinks that he is the King of Everything. The KOE is a person who thinks that they have the right to tell every person in their domain what to think. How to act. Who to like. The KOE grants to every person in their domain the right to act freely within the limits of his granting.

We’ve already seen that Prez O, the KOE, thinks that some persons do not have the right to be sick outside of a system. He thinks that an executive of a financial institution should not be rewarded according to the marketplace standards. He thinks that emissions, by his decree, can be bought and traded. Now the KOE thinks that the media (who is his biggest supporting faction) should air or print only that which is agreeable to his viewpoint.

Sunday, the KOE told CNN that they should cover and report only those things which are not rude and outrageous.
The KOE told ABC the same.

The KOE told NBC that motives for our actions should not be questioned.

The KOE told CBS not to focus on extreme elements of either side and not to consider conflict as a news item.

I think the KOE has forgotten that we, the USofA were formed to get away from the rulings of the king.

On this day in history: 1870 – Benedict Arnold meets with the British to commit treason; 1942 – the B-29 Superfortress bomber makes maiden run; 1949 – Mao Zedong gives birth to the Maoist movement

On a positive note: Khodadad carried his 2 year old son 50 miles to a clinic after a rooftop fell on him, fracturing his skull and affecting his vision and mobility. The clinic could not help the boy, but two USofA medics happened by (no, I don’t believe in that kind of coincidence) and set in motion the successful repair at a US military hospital in Kandahar, Afghanistan. You could have also mentioned that the KOE has redefined the word “TAX” …

ref. article: http://whitehouse.blogs.foxnews.com/2009/09/20/stephanopoulos-points-out-merriam-webster-definition-of-taxes-to-president-in-interview/

… Stephanopoulos points out Merriam-Webster definition of taxes to president in interview
President Obama and George Stephanopoulos disagreed on what actually defined a tax increase in a feisty exchange on ABC’s This Week, causing the host to pull out the Merriam-Webster dictionary definition of taxes.

Stephanopoulos pressed the president on his health care plan in the interview airing Sunday morning, specifically on the individual mandate—which essentially forces people to buy health insurance.

Asked how that could not be considered a hike, Stephanopoulos inquired, “Under this mandate, the government is forcing people to spend money, fining you if you don’t. How is that not a tax?”

President Obama responded “ No, but — but, George, you — you can’t just make up that language and decide that that’s called a tax increase.” Stephanopoulos then gave the dictionary definition – “I don’t think I’m making it up. Merriam- Webster’s dictionary: Tax, “a charge, usually of money, imposed by authority on persons or property for public purposes.”

Mr. Obama rejected the notion it was a tax increase and said pulling the dictionary out meant the host was “stretching” a little. He said, “No. That — that’s not true, George. The — for us to say that you’ve got to take a responsibility to get health insurance is absolutely not a tax increase.” …

The KOE compares the requirement of owning an automobile and insurance - which is a bogus comparison - we don’t NEED to own a car.

I liked the comment by one reader to this subject:

“The Rational Fool
REPLY
President Obama’s comparison of mandated health insurance with auto-insurance is disingenuous at best, and flies in the face of basic economics.

When I drive a car, and I hit someone, I force damages on the other person for no fault of his or her – what is known as “negative externality”. Hence the auto-insurance. I am perfectly at liberty to forgo an automobile, and not take any auto-insurance.

When I have a personal accident or illness, I am not forcing emergency care on the government or anyone else. By not taking health insurance, I have, of my own free will, chosen to forgo the treatment that I cannot afford, or I don’t care to receive.

In reality, I am already paying a medicare tax, and in many states, accidental death & disability insurance. If the state had a compelling interest in my life, it should pay for my emergency care from those funds, not force me to pay additional $4000 or more per annum.

The President may slice this baloney whichever way he wants, it’s still tax increase to payoff the insurance companies!”
